Pastor

D.L. Mitchell was born and raised in Southeastern Kansas.

He invited Christ into his life at the age of 23.

D.L. has served in the US Army and as a Chaplain in the US Air Force. He is currently a Chaplain in the Colorado Air National Guard.

Family:

D.L. is the husband of Nancy for 30+ years. Together they have three daughters and two grandchildren.

Education:

BA from Southwest Baptist College, MD from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Doctor of Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary.

Previous experience:

He was pastor of First Southern Baptist Church in Coffeyville, Kansas, Calvary Baptist Church in Neosho, Missouri and full time interim pastor at Faith Baptist Church in Claremore, Oklahoma.

A Note From D.L.:

It is my pleasure to be a part of the Colorado community. I come with great anticipation for what God is about to do. Crossroads Chapel is a church concerned with being real before God and before you. One of my all-time favorite books is "The Velveteen Rabbit." In this book Rabbit is instructed on how to be real. Old Horse tells him that becoming real may mean loosing buttons and having your fur rubbed off. Well, I look forward to meeting you, being real with you, and leading you into a real relationship with the Heavenly Father through His Son Jesus Christ.
